Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to yoursaju.com and the POTEN mobile app (together, the Service). POTEN is operated by YourSaju. In this policy, “YourSaju”, “Yoursaju”, “POTEN”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service.
We aim to handle personal information transparently and consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply. If a local law gives you additional privacy rights, we will respect those rights where the law applies to us.
Information we handle
Account and sign-in
POTEN and signed-in YourSaju features use an email one-time password (OTP). We receive the email address you enter and send a six-digit sign-in code to that address. A signed-in state may be stored on your device until you sign out or delete the account.
Profiles and readings
To calculate a chart, the Service may ask for a name, calendar type, birth date, birth time or that the time is unknown, birthplace, time zone, longitude and the sex value used by the traditional calculation. After you sign in, account profiles and saved or purchased readings are stored on YourSaju servers so you can reopen them on that account.
Petals and welcome trials
A signed-in account keeps a Petal balance and an immutable Petal ledger on the server. A new email account may receive a one-time welcome Petal grant and independent Mugung and Wolhwa welcome chat trials. Attendance Petals are recorded on the same server ledger after the required daily activity.
Consultation and support
If you use signed-in consultation, we receive the messages you send. If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. Do not send a password, sign-in code, identity document or full card number.
Technical information
Hosting and the app store may process standard technical information such as IP address, device or browser type, requested pages, timestamps and security logs so the Service can run. Birthplace search may send the city or country text you type to the place-search provider.
How we use information
We use information only where reasonably necessary to:
- sign you in with an email code and keep your account;
- calculate and display the chart or reading you request;
- store account profiles, saved readings, Petal balance and ledger, and welcome trials;
- remember language and accessibility preferences;
- provide support, respond to privacy requests and investigate technical problems;
- protect the Service, detect misuse and maintain reliable operation;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
- improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified observations where practical.
We do not sell personal information. We will not send marketing email without the consent required by applicable law, and marketing messages will provide a clear way to unsubscribe.
Accounts, storage and retention
Signed-in POTEN and YourSaju account data is stored on our servers, not only in the browser. That includes the account email, profiles, saved or purchased readings, Petal balance and ledger, welcome chat trials, and related consultation records owned by that account.
If you use the public website calculation form without signing in, a local copy of a birth profile or chart may still remain in that browser. Clearing site data for yoursaju.com removes that local copy. It does not delete a signed-in server account.
Support correspondence and ordinary hosting or security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer a request, operate the Service or meet a legal obligation.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete a POTEN account in the app: My Info → Account → Delete account, then confirm. Deletion signs you out on that device and removes that account’s user-owned data from our servers.
The same steps, including what is deleted and what may be retained by other services, are on the Data & Account Deletion page. You may also email support@yoursaju.com with the subject “Account deletion” or “Privacy request”.
Security and data incidents
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the Service. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. You should protect access to your device and never share a sign-in code.
If we become aware of a data incident, we will investigate, contain and assess it. Where applicable law requires notification, we will notify affected people and the relevant regulator.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain about our handling of your information.
Email support@yoursaju.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain if a request cannot be completed.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. A person under 16 should use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service changes or the law develops. Material changes will be shown on this page and recorded in Updates before they take effect where reasonably practical.
Privacy questions or complaints: support@yoursaju.com. Please do not include more birth, identity or payment information than is needed for us to understand the request.
